Comunicati / A NEW P2W SHOW AGREEMENT SIGNED BY CHINA AND ITALY

2009-07-06

Within the framework of the Italy-China Economic Forum, attended by Hu Jintao, President of the People’s Republic of China, and Silvio Berlusconi, President of the Italian Council of Ministers, a historic collaboration agreement was signed by EICMA spa (the company that organises the International Bicycle and Motorcycle Show of Milan) and two major Chinese partners: China Chamber of Commerce for Motorcycles and Genertec International Advertising & Exhibition Ltd. This collaboration envisages setting up a joint-venture to launch in China, in the city of Canton, a great trade Show which aims to be one of the most important rendezvous for powered two-wheel vehicles in the world.

The agreement bears the signatures of Guidalberto Guidi (Chairman of EICMA spa), Li Rengui (Chairman of Genertec) and Chen Bingnan (Secretary General of the China Chamber of Commerce for Motorcycles).

“In 2010, production of P2W in China will reach a stunning 32 million units – pointed out Guidalberto Guidi, Chairman of EICMA spa – and the interest in creating a dedicated motorcycle show in this country - the biggest manufacturer and consumer of motorcycles in the world - is all but evident. We are flattered by the fact that the Chinese authorities, opening to foreign partners, selected EICMA, clearly stating that the International Bicycle and Motorcycle Exhibition of Milan is the most attractive and the most important in the world. The agreement entered cannot but enhance the image of EICMA on a world scale”.
